The scientific direction of the chair:
The study of the medicinal plants growing technology, anatomical study of wild and cultivated medicinal plants.
There have been published 6 textbooks, 3 monograph and a dictionary of medicines in 6 languages. The chair co-operates with "Botany" research-and-production association, the institute of plant substances chemistry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, the scientific research institute of plants protection, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Ulugbek.
The chair has 4 professors and 5 assistant professors.
