Pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy deal with development of ways for obtaining drugs and auxiliary substances necessary for dosage forms creation; investigation of their structures, physical and chemical properties, intercommunication between a chemical structure of the drugs and their action on organism; development of new and improvement of the traditional methods for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical analysis of drug substances and dosage forms created on their base; their quality control and standardization methods, investigation of the changes taking place when storage and transportation of the medicinal agents; study on medicinal plants and products of processing plant and animal origin with the purpose of drugs creation, distribution, determination of the medicinal plants resources and their protection methods; development of scientifically - substantiated recommendations on collection, drying and storage for medicinal plant raw materials.

1. Development of drugs creation methods by means of chemical and microbiological synthesis as well as by isolation of biologically active substances from the natural raw materials.
2. Development of the ways for drugs synthesis of the purposeful therapeutical action.

4. Study of intercommunication between chemical structure of the medicines and their action on organism.
5. Development of new physico - chemical methods of qualitative determina-tion of the active elements of medicinal agents substances and of the created dosage forms on their base, immunobiological preparations and diagnostical agents.
