The institute's joint trade union consists of 1884 members; 510 - employees, 1376 - students.
The Committee has the following functions:
Protects the rights of the employees in accordance with the acting laws;
Promotes the labour discipline strengthening;
Organizes holiday and sport-sanitation actions;
Provides the employees with accommodation in holiday homes and hospitals at a reduced price.

The Institute Women's Council members take an active part in various actions devoted to the cultural, intellectual development of a personality as well as education of the students ("The role of an Uzbek woman in science", "School for mothers to be", "Do you know your rights?", "The role of "mahallya" in our life", "Sport and a woman").
